You don’t have to be an expert writer to have something worth saying. In our Stories From the Heart classes, we focus on having you tell your story, what’s true for you, in your own voice, to share with those who are important to you. This takes many forms. Some participants are motivated to share their life stories with grandchildren, others want to document a moment in time for future historians and activists. Some people put together a collection of vignettes, while others are motivated to write a novel-length family history.
Here are a few examples of some of the stories that participants in our classes have written.
Jim Borgman “Night Game”
RoseMarie Perez “Dutchess”
Wendy Rochman “Misadventures in Anti-Semitism”
